[it was almost easy to forget the roles they played in relationship with each other. kni could see the pieces of wolfwood that vash liked, could pick them out and sort them by what someone that wasn't him might consider positive attributes. kni saw the world differently, something he understood very well from the moment he could gather thoughts and form opinions. countless times he wished he could slip behind his brother's eyes, just to see how different they really were that vash could still find reasons to smile, despite everything.
he would like to see that world too, at least once.
wolfwood shows him the phone screen, crouched down for kni's consideration that he won't think about right now. perhaps he won't ever. he'd rather not dwell on the odd courtesies wolfwood gives him now and then, won't think about the invisible tally of little favors he's certain ticks up in number, waiting to be cashed in one day.
he'd like to scroll down the screen, but he doesn't and instead turns to replace the package in his hands with the firmer tofu. vash had wanted to cook with it, so it seemed like the right choice. kni sets it in his basket, glancing back to some of the other options. what kind of texture was 'custard' anyways?]

That should work, then.
